Deputy Health Minister of Armenia visited the bone marrow transplantation and stem cell ward of Ayatollah Taleghani Hospital

Ayatollah Taleghani Hospital hosted the Deputy Health Minister of Armenia which was coincident with the Iran-Armenia 12th Joint Economic Cooperation Commission in Tehran.
Dr. Khachatourian, Deputy Health Minister of Armenia, and Dr. Hayk Gregorian , Director of Foreign Affairs of the Health Ministry, paid a visit to the bone marrow transplantation and stem cell ward of Ayatollah Taleghani Hospital. They also attended a meeting during which a number of topics were discussed including capabilities and competencies, equipment and facilities, therapeutic activities and research priorities. It is notable that Dr.Naghib Zadeh, SBMU Vice-Chancellor in International Affairs, Dr.GharehBaghian,Manager of International Advancement, Dr.Dehghan, Deputy Director of Education of the hospital, and Dr.Haj Fatali, Director of the bone marrow transplantation, took part in that meeting.
Dr. Khachatourian referred to the programs of the Ministry of Health in Armenia and explained about establishing a bone marrow transplantation & stem cell center there. He found this visit fruitful and effective ,and recommended that these collaborations continue in terms of short term and long term memorandums of understanding between the two countries in order to exchange experience, professors, students and even patients.
